Don K. Johnson, whose international hospitality management experience covers a span of 30+ years, and includes management roles in Mexico, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean and the U.S. He is the former General Manager/Controller of Windward Properties Limited. In this role, he oversaw operations of the AAA 4-Diamond Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on the Caribbean island of Nevis and was a Financial Consultant for The Reefs, an exclusive resort in Bermuda. His duties at Windward included daily operations, hiring, marketing, finance and systems analysis. Prior positions include operations and financial management responsibilities for Trusthouse Forte Hotels in Bermuda and Wharton Hotels in Toronto. Recent projects include the Hotel Fauchere in Milford, PA, where he set up all financial policies, systems and controls and trained staff in the implementation of those policies.  He also served as special projects consultant for the Fairmont Southhampton Bermuda and the Lodge and Woodloch in Hawley, Pa.

Don received his Bachelor of Commerce in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. Committed to serving the community, he served as Vice President of the St. Kitts & Nevis Hotel Association and was Director of the Nevis Tourism Authority, giving him extensive experience in destination marketing and promotion.

• Under his management, the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club was awarded an AAA 4-Diamond status, placed on “Condé Nast Traveler” magazine’s ‘Gold List’ and named as one of the world’s best values by “Travel + Leisure” magazine.
  
  
• Oversaw recruitment and creation of operational and financial infrastructure for The Lodge at Woodloch, including the development of the hotel’s 40,000 sq. ft. spa.
  
  
• Increased productivity and improved the reporting process by automating all financial/ accounting functions during tenure at Windward Properties Ltd and The Reefs.
